Rune Bottle

A fascination with ancient cultures and languages has drawn me to explore runes. In addition to interest in runic symbols for their structural architecture, I immediately became captivated by their spiritual, mysterious, and universal qualities. Runecasting is said not to be fortune-telling but rather works with the subconscious to divine understanding. I chose to make a template for rune divination in the pattern of "Thor's Hammer Spread" which is a solitary divination used for self-discovery. (And as a ceramic artist, where more
appropriate to place this template but on a modest bottle?) The "play" in this work is serious and introspective for the observer/part1c1pant.
